I keep promising myself that I will go to bed at a decent hour so I can regain my strength and finally beat this darn cold, but I'm not very good at keeping my word. With the long hours I've been working lately you'd think I'd treat my body better. But *no.* I suppose we can try again tomorrow night ( Read more... )

Lovely icon! :) Adrienne deserves a big hug for it.

*hugs* to you and best wishes that you conquer the cold fast! You absolutely cannot be ill during the con. When do you arrive - Thursday? You're going to have *so* much fun! Enjoy. :)

Adrienne *does* deserve a big hug for working her icon magic (as you can see, I'm still using the basic page format for my journal entries. Codes, what codes? The very word "programming" frightens me half to death. ).

I went to bed at midnight last night. It's already 10:30. *Sigh* My excuse it that I was out all day and I have a lot of e-mail to catch up on (I know, I don't have to do it all in one night!).

I'm arriving on Thursday evening -- only five more days! I can't believe it!

Oooh, the con is getting close now! What have y'all decided to do about housing? Did you get in at the hotel after all?

It'll be great fun. Don't be surprised if you spend most of your time chatting and forget to attend the panels. *g* Don't expect to sleep much, either.

We've booked a room at a hotel that is near the main one (just in case). It has an indoor swimming pool (I'm impressed!).

I'm a bit concerned about the sleep I'm going to lose. I'd love stay up for four days straight, but I can't. I'm on low doses of chemo and if I don't get enough sleep for too many days in a row my body starts to wilt.

I'm rushing around, too--I'm leaving this house sooner than Thursday (Monday, because my grandparents have to take me to the airport, since my parents both have to work). That means I'll be sacrificing a few days' internet access, but I think it's worth getting away from the headache that my parents are giving me already. I don't think they're happy about me going to this con, even though I've told them what I can about it without letting on one of the chief reasons why I'm going.

I hope you will be able to take it easy and relax during those two days away from your folks. *hugs*

Sorry to hear that the homecoming hasn't been all that wonderful. Just go ahead and enjoy the con - it'll all be worth it! :)

I'm leaving here tomorrow, so...a few days with my grandparents before the con will be even better yet. Sometimes I think I'd rather move in with them ;)
