I think the truth of the matter is that maybe people bought like 8 of them and they sold out..but still.

Well it is not "REALLY" a scam.. but what people do is, they will buy a block of tickets, in this case the two day passes. you can buy up to 8 of them. ANYONE with a credit card can buy them for up to eight people. Or they can do something shitty like sell them on ebay. Sometimes they are legit ticket resellers.. but about 50% of the time they are not.

It is a smart move if you have 8 solid "YES I AM ATTENDING" people you know/trust... or a good job/skill at selling stuff on ebay.

It is a good system really, but it sucks for loners who like buying their own tickets.
