I'm thoroughly enjoying this story. I love your characterisations of Jim and Bones -- really authentic with great dialogue. I also adore your Joanna, she's sweet, mischievous and adorable.

It would be so easy with this prompt to for the story to be contrived, but you've managed to avoid it, doing a wonderful build-up, scene by scene, with the tension between the two men gradually escalating. That said, the slow burn is killing me, and having read your response to a comment further down, I'm so glad I've not got to wait another week for the next part!

Slow burn is a bit of a kink of mine, but I am also impatient, so yes only two more parts to go, over the next two days. There will be resolution, eventually... ;)

Jim being worried about Joanna and telling Bones (absolutely adorable)
Jim being kind of overwelmed in the store a all the new posh people stuff and Bones making sure they take him serious anyways!

Yeah I kinda had the thought that has Jim ever worn a suit? Does he know how to tie a tie? and then Bones just came to the rescue of his friend.

Jim is this lovely mix of contradictions; highly intelligent, cocky, acts regularly like a nine year old, observant, caring, loyal, brash, scared and brave.
