The two times I've been I've explored San Diego by arriving early. There's the rather touristy but wonderful Seaport Village with the Crow bookstore/cafe which is great for the free wifi and yummy coffee/iced drinks. I've manged the USS Midway, Balboa Park, Coronado, downtown shopping, the Old Town. It's a lovely city :)
