Yeah, for sure! I know how frustrating it is not to be able to watch MTV stuff on their site, but I didn't think AOL would have restrictions on who can view the video. :(
wow. just...wow. i liked it, it really touched me, but then it had some cute/funny moments - like when all the ugandans are watching the "dance dance" video. :)
you know that 2 minutes in the middle is going to get cut after a week so that it's more mtv/vh1 friendly. i'm so jaded about that kinda stuff, but they're probably thinking "wow, what a great message, but we'll have to cut that middle part out so that we have more time to air commercials for (insert name of stupid MTV show here)."
You're probably right about the part in the middle getting cut out. People either seem to love the video or they hate it. I'm really enjoying seeing's everyone's differing opinions on it.
I understand all of the reasons I probably shouldn't like it, and it IS pretty cheesy in parts and certainly the video isn't going to make a bit of sense once the so-called music video networks chop it up to let it fit in the allotted timeframe, but I'm trying to stay positive. It's beautiful, and it isn't nearly as boring as Hanson's "let's make a video in Africa" attempt (see: The Great Divide). The song is awesome but it kinda puts me to sleep and I've been a megahardcore Hanson fan for over a decade, so that's saying something.
