Much of my own thoughts on season eight are mirrored here--Walter having to "suck it up" to the FBI to keep working, Scully pretending Mulder was hers (in the best naughty faghag tradition*L*) and I do hope you continue this series (I'm a whore for happy endings, dontcha know? ;) )

Thanks! I thought Scully seemed to suddenly act like she and Mulder had declared something to one another, but when Mulder came back he seemed uneasy around her and unsure of his place. I used to be a strong MSR gal, but season eight and nine just turned me off it.
