Wow, nice! I like your writing style. I don't often get the chance, but when I can I try to read your ficlets, because they are very realistic within the scope of the show. Keep up the great work. :)

Thank you! Before the fanfic100 Challenge, I tended to shy away from canon fic because it's so hard to get it *right* for every reader. Finding the "why" behind the "because" has been a challenge. Thanks for reading!

Well I would still read non-canon fic, but you're right it is more of a challenge to get it 'right', so that is one of the reasons that make these even better. Carry on :)

Thank you for writing this. I have to slow my reading right down to savour the writing and the story and make it last. I'm elated that you have more gems in the wings! Almost like a fanfic Advent calendar but twice as long!!

ROFLMAO!I'm glad you're enjoying the "series". I really hated to kill Simone off, but it had to be done. More or less. ;) Thanks for reading!

Simone didn’t complain, overtly, but she was jealous. Not of Elena the woman, but Elena the mission;

I always look forward to reading the reactions, and intrigues of "your" characters. With this line, you showed more of how section life affects the mind set of its subordinates. It's the details and scrutiny you give each and every piece you write, that makes them *must* reads for me. :D

Garsh, thanks! *blushes* In my world, Simone was in Section a long time; almost half her life. Every thought she has, though seemingly independent, is filtered through her Section-conditioned psyche. To paraphrase Adrian, it's "what she is."

*Must* read, huh? I hope I can continue to live up to your standards. LOL Thanks for reading!

I've been wondering how you would deal with this part of canon when you got there -- it's one of those things where we have a certain amount of canon information, but there's alot of space to interpret.

The repetative thing with the massage works very well here. At the top, it could so easily become just a stress headache of the usual 'toilet seat up or down' relationship variety, but as you take the story through the lead up to the inevitable, the massage becomes a spooky thing when it comes back.

“She asked for a back-up team. I said it wasn’t necessary. I was wrong.”

Those lines from canon pretty much sum things up for me.

I recall Simone’s actions during that ep as well. Understandably cowed at first, she later steps up to the plate and takes charge when she has to. I can definitely ‘see’ her leading a team and ‘hear’ her arguing with Michael about it.

I see the massage as a futile gesture; it doesn’t resolve the tension with Elena, and it won’t bring Simone back.

Thanks for reading!
