Yesterday, I sold a book to Robbie Coltrane.

The End.

Actually, colleagues debated the wisdom of askng him to say "A'right 'Arry" but decided we'd all get sacked. I was alone on bookstall and therefore got a bit of banter with him. Cracker!omg!.

squee!, thework

I am amazed I remained as cool and composed as I did when all I wanted to do was go "hmg!hmg!hmg!" And then there was no one around to tell!

Oh I love Robbie Coltrane. Was he nice, or shy? I can picture him as both.

*Hugs*

*hugs* hee! He was nice to me! I was just standing behind my wee desk in the museum's main hall (I sold 4 books in 4 hours, picture the boredom) and we knew he was in the building, but then I was interrupted from my aimless gazing into the middle distance by his voice right in front of me going "Is this Muriel [Gray]'s book then?" and asking the price. And he laughed when I told him he wouldn't find it cheaper anywhere in the museum. *g* He wandered by later as well and told me standing behind the desk all day would be good for my legs, lol!

I must have been grinning like a twit when he walked away (I allowed myself a brief moment of squee after being ohsocool to his face ;)) because Pete the VA gave me a look from behind his desk fifteen feet away. *g*

But the point was, you were cool and didn't "geek out" in front of him. Serious brownie points in your favor. "Geeking" afterward is very much allowed, no matter where you are. And you call tell your boss I said that. :)

*grins* He's prob the biggest celeb I've ever seen, and I was right one-to-one with him. After he'd decided to come on a private visit to avoid the hordes of HP fans, I was so determined to be unfazed and normal to him! My usual conversational method of laid back sarcasm works in my favour!

And you call tell your boss I said that. :)

*laughs* I hereby reserve my right to privately go fangirly over every celeb I see at work! And to think I'd tried to wheedle my way out of working that desk in the morning...!
