Managed to stay in last night and got woken up earlier than planned this morning, so should, in theory, have had a vaguely productive day. Not a chance, as it turns out! Instead, spent the whole time, pretty much, updating the RusSoc website (for the 2nd day in a row); however, methinks it's all done now, and it has put me in a fairly good mood ( Read more... )

Also, i'm pretty sure the term as to legal costs may be contrary to the UCTA as constituting an unreasonable bar to exercising your legal rights... but I can't remember enough of the UCTA to be sure....

I also think there's serious overkill there - all you need is the 'this is an invitation to treat'... although I'm not sure whether that would be legally effective, as the courts might take the view, as with the rent acts and the term 'lease', that what the legal consequences of certain statements/transactions are is not down to the parties to label... although in this context, as there is a question of consensus ad idem making clear that you don't intend to create legal relations should be enough.
