Maybe just a dream (Chapter 2)
Pairing: Kuzuryu Karina X Okamoto Keito
Summary: Karina thinks what happen in that night just a dream but what will happen it is actually the truth?
Teaser/ Chapter 1
nbsp; Karina just finishes clean herself when she hears knocks from her window. She takes a peek from the window and Keito just smile to see her. He asks, “Am I disturbing you?”
“Could you wait for awhile?” ask Karina. Keito just nods his head and Karina close back the curtain before quickly get into clean clothes. She opens the window and Keito get into the room.
“Gomen for disturb you but I need to return this clothes to you.” Say Keito as he gives the bag to Karina. Karina takes the bag and look what’s inside before surprise with it.
“Ah, is that mean you really come here that night?” Say Karina.
“Yes, why you think it is dream?” ask Keito.
“It just we never talk before this and I think you don’t even know me.” Say Karina.
“Actually, I know about you. Even you didn’t realize it at all.” Say Keito.
“How? I always hide my face with my hoodies when you’re around.” Say Karina.
“And because of that hoodies you attract my attention. You’re alone at home?” Say Keito.
“Yeah...” reply Karina.
“You’re not afraid?” ask Keito.
“I already used to it. Before this, my parent always not at home because of work and my brother never bother to go back home.” Say Karina.
“Why you don’t want to make sleep-over with your friends?” ask Keito as he really curious.
“I don’t want to disturb them as they may have other plan with someone.” Say Karina.
“And you’re not afraid I’m here?” Keito try to tease her.
“I hope you still remember my words about what will happen.” Say Karina. Keito just giggles and continue talking with Karina. He just decides to accompany Karina as he actually worries about her.

Karina wakes up on the next morning and realize Keito already leave the house. She wants to continue her sleep but then notice a small teddy bear beside her with note, ‘Let’s meet at UK Cafe at 9.-Keito’
“9? It already 8.” say Karina as she takes a look at the clock. She still wants to be in the warm blanket because it really warm but she just wakes up to get ready.
Keito already wait at the cafe when Karina arrives at the cafe. She get near him and says, “Gomen for make you waiting.”
“It’s okay. I just arrive.” Say Keito.
“What you want to order?” ask the waiter. Karina just tells the waiter what she wants and same goes to Keito. Both of them take breakfast together while talk about random things. Keito plan to spend time together with Karina as he knows she will avoid him at school.
“Keito, why you suddenly ask me go out today?” ask Karina.
“Nothing particular, I just want to know more about you.” Say Keito.
“I don’t have anything to let you know.” Say Karina.
“We don’t know about it yet. The day still long, Karina.” Say Keito as he winks to Karina but Karina just ignores him.
After they finish breakfast, both of them leaves the cafe and Keito pulls her to walk at crowded street. Karina doesn’t have idea about what Keito want to go at that time. She a bit shock when gets into a boutique.
“What are we going to do at here?” ask Karina.
“I want to see you in girl’s clothes.” Say Keito.
“Why you suddenly want to see me in dress?” ask Karina.
Keito takes out his phone and show the picture to Karina. Karina surprise as it is her during the party. She asks, “Where you get this picture?”
“Oh, Yuto took your picture when you’re coming to our party. All of us at that party but only he notice you. You know that he really like photography, right?” say Keito.
“Why I didn’t realize you guys?” ask Karina.
“I don’t know about it. For now, just let me buy a dress for you. I want to see you in it.” Say Keito.
“Okay but only for this time.” Karina surrenders with what Keito’s want as she couldn’t stand his pitiful face. Keito turn like kids who get candy and make begin choose dress for Karina.
“I think this dress suit you.” Say Keito as he’s holding pastel-colored knee-length dress. Karina just tries it inside the fitting room and show to Keito.
“I’m speechless right now. You look great in it.” say Keito.
“I’m changing back.” Say Karina. She wants to get into the fitting room but Keito pull her and say that she doesn’t need to change it.

“Why you like to hide yourself?” ask Keito.
“I don’t want anyone remember me actually.” Say Karina. Keito seem confuse with her words until she says, “If not papa brought me into his family, I just another normal girl.”
“What do you mean by ‘brought into his family’?” ask Keito.
“I’m not their real daughter.” Say Karina.
“But everyone knows that you’re Kuzuryu’s daughter and you even get into the news when you were born.” Say Keito. He says like that because he heard it from somewhere.
“Yeah but it is not me. What the similarities that I and their real daughter have are name and date of birth. Their real daughter died when she was 2 because of sickness. They found me as I was borned at that hospital. My biological mom is their friend and that time, she already suffers from chronic disease and could only lives for several months.” Say Karina.
“So, by bringing you into the family, no one will know that you’re their adopted daughter.” Say Keito.
“Yes... that’s why I keep hiding myself. I know when my brother takes over papa’s place; he will kick me out for sure.” Say Karina.
“I will do something before he kicks you out.” Say Keito in low voice.
“Keito, did you say something just now?” ask Karina and Keito just shook her head.
“No, I don’t say anything.” Say Keito. Both of them just walk and spend time for awhile before Keito send her back home. Karina really happy on the day as it is her first time spends time with someone like him.
“I hope I can meet you again during at school.” Say Keito.
“If the destiny let us to do it.” say Karina before get into the house. Keito just leave the place after Karina disappears from his eyes.

Karina gets into the house and notices her brother, Toma; already arrive home with his friends. Toma says, “Ah, you already back. Wanna join us?”
“It’s okay. I just stay in my room.” Say Karina.
“You better enjoy the moment. At least, when I kick you out after I get the wealth, one of them could help you when you’re their girlfriend.” Say Toma.
“I have no interest in love. I need to focus on my studies first.” Say Karina before she gets into her room. She locked herself in the room and takes her rest.
‘I will kick you out after I get the wealth.’ Toma’s words already in Karina’s mind. He knows about adopted daughter and really wants to kick her out from 5 years ago. She already uses to hear it and she doesn’t care about it.

On the school day, Keito tries to find Karina but she still manages to escape from him with her hoodies. His friends already suspect something with Keito but never manage to dig it out. Yuto decide to ask one of Karina’s friend who also his lover, Yura.
“Does anything weird happen to your friend?” ask Yuto.
“Do you mean Karina?” ask Yura and Yuto just nods to reply it. “She just says that Nakahara-sensei keep asking her to decide her future. Why you ask about it?”
“No, it just... Keito seem really weird and I suddenly think if he has anything with your friend since she could hide something really well.” Say Yuto.
“Even we ask her if she’s going out with Keito, she will lead us to other way.” Say Yura.
“Keito really look like different him. He is always spacing out more than usual.” Say Yuto.
“How about we spy them?” Yura gives suggestion and Yuto just agree with it. After school, Yuto follow from Keito’s back while Yura do it at Karina. By the end of the day, both of them can’t find anything that could make Keito has something with Karina.
“We really need to find one thing that could conclude they have spent time together.” Say Yuto. Yura just nod her head and relax herself.

Karina just get wake up from sleep when she hear thunder’s sound. She realizes that she forgets to close the curtain and quickly does it as she still want to sleep more without distraction. She hears her phone ringing and it is reminder of one of her important days.
“Yabai, I almost forget about it.” say Karina.
Even outside already raining heavily but she just goes out. She already makes sure that she brings extra clothes in her water-proof bag. She opens her umbrella and leaves the house. She leaves memo that tell about her leaving to go somewhere.
“Ah, I hope I can reach there on time.” hopes Karina in her heart while walking along the street.
Suddenly, a car stop right next to her but she decide to ignore the car. She really needs a place to rest for awhile while waiting for the rain stop. The car that stops at her is actually following her and Karina really surprise to see who it is.
“Keito, what are you doing here?” ask Karina.
“That is actually my question. I’m just on the way to go back home and saw you, walking in the rain. Are you running away from house?” Say Keito.
“No, I’m actually want to go visit someone.” Say Karina.
“But you could postpone it with weather like this right now.” Say Keito.
“I can’t postpone it as I already agree to visit today.” Say Karina.
“How about I send you to that place?” suggest Keito.
“I’m happy to hear it but I don’t think I could accept your offer.” Say Karina.
“Why you say like that?” ask Keito.
“I’m going to Osaka.” Say Karina.
“I can send you. I also can take the chance to visit my grandparent at there.” Say Keito. Karina just accepts the offer and get into the car.

“So, where is the house that you want to go?” ask Keito when the driver arrive at Osaka. Karina just gives direction to the driver until the car reach at the graveyard.
“Why here?” ask Keito.
“I want to visit my okasan at here. Thanks for the ride, Keito.” Say Karina.
“Can I follow you along?” Keito want to know what is real happening at that moment. Karina just accepts it and both of them walk until reach at grave named, Hakushika Aria.
“Okasan, I’m here again... gomen for reach late at this year. There is heavy rain at Tokyo.” Say Karina as she cleans the grave and put bunch of flower. She keeps talking with her okasan for several minutes and let her tears drop.
Keito wipes her tears and says, “Your mom looks really beautiful. You inherit your mom’s face feature.”
“She really beautiful and she deserve happy life but some bastard ruins her life. He just gave her troubles and she raised me with all her will until her last breath even she had no much time to live.” Say Karina.
“But thanks to her, I could meet you.” Say Keito.
He feels Karina really love her biological mother but never tell anyone about it. After that, Keito brings her to meet his grandparent. Both of them really happy to accept Karina as their guests at the house. Grandmother says, “You must be really tired. You should take rest first.”
Karina just stays in the room to get enough rest. Her energy already lost because of crying. Keito just explain the situation to his grandparent to avoid any misunderstanding happen in future. After that, Keito go to check on Karina and see she’s already in deep sleeps. Keito just close to the door slowly to avoid Karina wake up.
