John Prine! I love his songs. I have always meant to read Marge Piercy and Edna Ferber, who as I may have told you, my MIL LOVES. You should never have to *cough cough* about your age. IMO!

You would love "Woman on the Edge of Time." I wanna *move* there!

BTW, where did you get that great icon?

BTW 2.0: I stole a John Prine song for my fic "Undisclosed Location." Turned Sam Stone into a war buddy of House's dad. (That's a hint that I still want you to read it!)

I will put it on my reading list.

Ah, the icon. Allow me to introduce you to iconomicon, my favorite iconist. He does some far out, wacky, weird, disturbing and creative stuff. Check him out!

THANK you for reminding me that Undisclosed Location was the story you particularly wanted me to read. I will go bookmark it right now.

Was it John Prine or the other guy I love who wrote the great song, "Unlonely"? Just Googled it. Now I have to dl it. LOVE that song. A former lover placed it on a mixed tape for me.

"Unlonely" was definitely John Prine. Other songs of his you might like: "Be My Friend Tonight." "Aimless Love." "Your Flag Decal Won't Get You Into Heaven Anymore." "Quiet Man." "Hello In There." "Big Old Goofy World." "Speed of the Sound of Loneliness." "Angel From Montgomery." The latter two were hits for Nanci Griffith and Bonnie Raitt, respectively.

I would be thrilled if you read "UL" and gave me your thoughts. You did leave some comments on the first chapter or three. If you're not feeling ambitious enough to take on a 22-chapter story, the epilogue, "Different Drummer," can be read as a stand-alone.
