You had me at perimenopausal. I am on my second period of the month. I think. A few weeks ago, I posted about my emotional response to reading Lauren Bacall's account of Bogart's death. SO frakking emotional. And lethargic.
Have you checked with Jake about your headache?
Does Jake have any advice for perimenopausal women????

"Buy stock in Tampax." Just kidding. I haven't asked. As far as the headache, though, he thinks it may be a reaction to the overall stress that tube ride put my body through. We talked yesterday, but I didn't bring up the possibility of an actual head injury because that didn't occur to me until today.
I'd ask "Aren't you a bit young for perimenopause?" but you may be as tired of that question as I am of "Aren't you a bit old?" My mom had a late menopause, so I guess that's my fate. I remember her having heavy days that kept her in *bed* when she was a year or two older than I am now.
I never had moodiness that telegraphed my cycle until the past couple of years; now it's pretty much a case of "Why have I suddenly turned into The Raw Nerve That Walks Like a Woman? Must be ... Howdy hi there, Aunt Flo!" I've always been emotional, so the hormonal/emotional connection wasn't obvious until it started to get *really* obvious.

When I was a kid, my grandmother's standard response when one of us scraped a knee or got a big bruise was "Don't worry. It'll get better before you get married." So I guess, the answer for perimenopausal women is "Don't worry. It'll get better before you go senile." ;-)
As to Bev's headache, I suppose her "shaken baby" idea is possible, but I've never heard of it. My advice would be that if it isn't better in another day or two to consult a real doctor.
