Harlan Ellison's StarlustjonnybewareJuly 24 2009, 13:15:23 UTC
All these controversies will be explained by Harlan in his upcoming autobiography, BEE-YATCH ON THE ROAD FROM PAINESVILLE: MY LIFE AS A MULTIPLE AWARD-WINNING AFRICAN-AMERICAN JEWISH WOMAN/MAN. The book was listed as forthcoming at the front of AGAIN, DANGEROUS VISIONS and should be out sometime immediately after the release of LAST DANGEROUS VISIONS VOL. 1: STORIES BY WRITERS WHO ARE STILL ALIVE. The latter release will be a 60-page chapbook.
I have been as patient with this "sexism" shit, stemming from one bit of fan gossip, as I care to be. I would be grateful if anyone can tag these mouth-breathers by name for me.
And what's he gonna do, exactly? Man has no clout anymore.
Harlan is under the impression that he's scary or something. Like, if Harlan says "everyone on the internet, hate these people!" anyone beyond the group of people who care to navigate his antiquated messaging system is going to take much notice.
Yeah. Remember when we actually DID hate the things that Harlan Ellison hated? I remember having a growling resentment towards Shatner and Roddenberry for years because they fucked with his script.
And then I saw him bitching about Lee Cobb doing the same thing with an incredibly mediocre tv script he wrote for The Young Lawyers (Glass Teat) and all I could think was "Holden Caulfield was 17. What's Harlan's excuse?"
