Toby reports that
Helix is charging authors $40 to remove their work from the archives. The amount was arrived at as the hourly rate for their web person.
I find it hard to believe that it takes a whole hour to remove a page from a website, even given the high likelihood of a very very stupid webperson. And that's even with the multistep process of taking down the story, putting up the "pantiwadulous" slam, and then 404ing the pantiwadulous page after I link to it and give Helix more hits for the page than their entire latest issue is getting.
But gee, I guess people can be that stupid, because Helix cannot figure out that they should probably remove all the pantiwadulous pages. Or, more to the point:
Hey dipshits, you missed one! (Feel free to pay me half the $40 for my assistance here.)
Screencap of Margaret Ronald being called pantiwadulous as of 9:02AM EDT. I wonder what they'll say if any boys pay the $40. Ballrecedoriffic? Shrinkdicktastic? Or will the Helix eds just go off to the woods and cry about their drunken fathers like those Iron John asswipes?
