My goals for the week: Practice my Dotzauer three more times and...write in this thing every day for the entire week. Just to see if I can do it.

So, with that in mind, I give you...miscellany! (I just love that word...)

Miscellaneous Bit #1:Reconciling what seems like a hundred-thousand numbers is NO FUN! Especially because it was my very own ( Read more... )

Eh, we didn't put too much house money into the Buick, and I'll be putting it back in over the next couple of paychecks anyway. The tires and long-overdue oil change I paid for out o' me own money. So it was just the tow, the battery, and the check-up that came out of house money and, like I said, that'll go back in. :)

And yeah, MAJOR HUGE SQUEE for Outbackage!!! :D I'm glad that you saw this. I wasn't sure if you'd gone out with the Gaggle o' Boys for the day, so I thought I might have to wait until you got home from Big Bad Bass Guitar lessons to tell you. Glad I don't have to. ;)

And a raise would be nice, but I'm not holding my breath...

Not to throw a monkey wrench into the joy but isn't that hiding assets? If this is all totally legal then yippee. But it sounds kind of iffy to me.

If he was actively being sued or otherwise investigated, then it might be. But he isn't. The main problem is that he seems to think that he needs to reduce his overhead. To that end, one of our project supervisors agreed to leave the company (in order to start his own), and he wants to reduce the number of company vehicles (and, consequently, vehicle payments). If I didn't take it, he would simply sell it to someone else. He wanted to offer it to me first, and since he likes me an awful lot and wants me to continue to work for him forever, he offered me a great deal.

Yeah, he's spooked about the possibility of being sued at some point in the future, although I doubt that will happen. If the guy sues, then he's in trouble. Not my boss, mind you. The other guy. He has done some shady things, and the fact that these shady things are more or less matters of easily-obtainable public record should deter him from suing anyway, if he has a half a brain in his head.
