Writer's Block: How Soon Is Now?

They've identified the gene that causes hydrocephalus.  Next logical step is gene therapy, to treat hydrocephalus in the womb.

W00t! Wasn't aware it had been identified. (But then, it's not news that I would normally expect to see.)

Yeah, hubby and I learned about that when we went to last year's HA convention in Park City, UT. I asked the presenter about the possibility of gene therapy, and he gave me a blank look. The presentation was more about a general overview of hydrocephalus and its current treatments. I gathered that gene research/therapy wasn't his particular field, he brought up the gene discovery as part of his speech, but he was apparently unaware of the specifics because that wasn't his particular area of expertise. So, who knows. *shrug*
