Tonight I attended a great concert: only 20 people around and the band was so close that you could actually smile at them and they smiled back. I'm so happy.

The band was : Tele I've liked them for several years now but never had the chance to see them.

The Gossip are great, I've really grown to like em in the last few weeks. Honestly, which kind of feminist would not like Beth Ditto and Hannah Blilie? They're fab. And the music just makes me sing and shake in the car and elsewhere like it's nobody's business.

This saturday night: "District 9"   Which is an odd mixture of science-fiction, distopia and a parable about apartheid and racism in general.

The plot is interesting and the "hero" is of an unusual character, it is not a typical hollywood film by any means. If you're interested, chek out the Wikipedia entries or this one here.

The towns in my state elect new mayors today. I simultaneously check on the results in my hometown, my birth-town (where my family still lives) ant the town I work in. I may be a geek, but wow, democracy IS exciting today!

When I went to London with my Mom last year, I received a small puffin books brochure, lovely made, about the classic children's book series they have. The brochure mentioned a lot of books that were suggested as "other good reading" even though not published by puffin, some of them even adult books. I take part in an online tradign system that lets you trade books, CDs, DVDs and all kinds of other stuff. You put up what you have to give and tha amount of "trading tickets" you want for it. Although I do keep track of all the wonderful recommendations I received after my last post -  I do have to pay for last winter's heating and the car insurance these next two months and I can't afford buying any new DVDs.

Yay!  I'm done with my job and have one week off before I need to brush up my business clothes and get on show for my new job.

I'll visit some friends, will go swimming perhaps.... and I will watch loads of movies, I've decided!
