It was perfect. Untouched forest the likes of which few twentieth century individuals had ever seen. Tall oaks, trunks thick with moss. Ivy and creepers spread wherever sunlight reached. And as she walked, wild flowers sprouted from the damp ground. Sarah smiled.
Of course, the fact that it was untouched by man brought other dangers. Wolves still roamed, not yet exterminated from the emerald isle. Fae came and went freely from their hills. Other things, darker things the world still believed in wandered the woods at night.
Sarah looked at the motley gathering of mages. "We need to make shelter now."
