Place-holding because I have Things To Say about this. Mostly flaily, key-smashy things, but they are Things. But I am at work, so I will flail and key-smash (and maybe actually make a salient comment, who knows?) when I am Not At Work. Yes.

OKAY SO YOU KNOW I LOVE THIS AND I LOVE YOU AND YOU MAKE THE WORLD BETTER, RIGHT? Your writing is ALWAYS in-character, and I can't wait to see what you do when you write an ensemble piece, because it is going to DEVASTATE. Ok, I got that out. Moving on.

I love that we just get Stiles' end here; we are left just as wondering and bewildered as he is with the situation. It's extremely effective in setting a realistic (as it could be when we're talking werewolves and fairies and magical GENDERSWITCHING) tone. We never know what Derek is thinking; that's nothing unusual, since even on the show, we never know what Derek is thinking. We only have his stoic faces to go by, and occasionally his sassy/sarcastic eyebrows ( ... )

But he's gonna have to work with Derek on those inter-personal skills. *g*

I kinda like how season 1 Derek is ALL BUSINESS. Except how he's not and he's terrible at the business he does.

So I was really happy to see you delving into this one. But really, who could resist Stiles?
