It's a very good thing you're much better at interpreting vague prompts than I am at leaving clear, concise ones, because this is so many shades of loveliness and good. You deserve a gold medal at mind reading, most certainly.

This is exactly what I wanted to see, what would happen as Nate matures and becomes more confident, more comfortable in his own skin and around Monsieur Colbert. Colbert's reaction isn't very kind, but that's not who he is. I wonder if anyone really knows the reasons why he's in Algiers, if he might come to regret not give Nate the answers he wanted to. I wonder a lot of things.

Colbert makes an affirmative gesture and sweeps his jacket back again to reveal a hip. I can absolutely see Colbert doing this. A perfect detail. I also remember when Nate didn't talk so much; Colbert's method of shutting him up is effective and awesome ♥

I was linked here for a recommendation. I was not disappoint.

Brad is so stoic and guarded at the beginning. Slowly, Nate's interest seems to melt his defenses down. It's not fully and he doesn't do anything so bold as to cry from all the feelings and emotions and angst and .... Instead, he's snarky. Then he changes to almost completely evasive, but still affectionate by kissing Nate.

Also, that Nate remembers "the letter". SLKJFSLK. <3
