Two things in one week? Madness! Although writing this was, as I said to passionofmind, like trying to put a cat into a coffee cup. Possibly a sign I should not stop writing for so long. Also WWII AU yay!

What I have to say pretty much echoes all of the above comments. I have a deep respect for this AU because you always manage to get it right. The tone, the atmosphere, the whole thing. I am a bit frustrated with savvy Mr. Colbert pulling the strings, always out of reach, while Nate fumbles for some answers.

God, your writing is fucking sublime. I'd quoteback, but this entire fic would be quoted back! The line about seconds catching in the crevices of Colbert really stuck out, though.
