Well, here's the FIRST of however many I can squeeze out.
Nate was born on a farm in November 1921, so when he gets to Algiers on a dusky June evening in 1942, it’s a shock. Thick, hot air slips down the neck of his uniform and his hands are clammy as soon as he jumps out of the back of the truck at the base.
They billet him that night, even though it’s late. One of the French soldiers at the base is in charge of housing assignments and hands him a slip of paper with 42 rue Champagne- Les Poulains written on it, pointing vaguely to the left.
Les Poulains are an older couple, silver-haired and thin-lipped, but overwhelming friendly. The wife, Marie, squeezes his shoulders though when she opens the door, and Theodore brings him a glass of water and a thick slice of homemade bread. His room has a single bed covered in soft sheets and knitted quilts and slightly crooked curtains.
They call him Nat’an-yell and smile like he’s their new son. He sleeps perfectly in his borrowed bed that night
( ... )
I almost feel bad for Nate here because there's no way on earth he has the experience to be able to deal with Brad's many, many charms, his seductive voice and him speaking French and reading Nate like a book, like Brad knows exactly what he's going to do with him and how much Nate is going to love it. On the other hand, why would he want to resist?
I forgot to ask, but the Poulains' name, is it an Amélie reference or just a happy coincidence?

The name comes from Amélie, but is mostly meaningless. I've been out of French class for long enough that French surnames don't come to mind as easily as they used to.
Eeee! Again, I'm totally in love with the details here - the old couple, Nate collecting cigarettes, the bits of French... such lovely glimpses. And of course the delicious sexual tension. <333
When is this going to become a proper, 300k word count fic? MY EVIL KNOWS NO BOUNDS.
I love this. I love you. I love Brad and Nate and WWII AUs and you know what I miss? Sexy war. Is that still going on? Also: I think I don't need another cup of coffee.
Oh my god, more from this AU, and the very beginning of it too! Wow!! I LOVE this meeting. Brad is amazing =) Love all the little details, like Nate loving the pastries

Of course Brad overwhelms poor boy Nate. And of course he wants to eat Nate alive. And of course Nate would happily agree with the whole thing.

He is a bit reticent for a while. Brad's pretty...Brad.

Duuuuude. That's fantastic. Of course Brad pushes, even on first meeting. And damn right he knows Nate already.
Awesome. And, as I always blubber about, OMG YOUR DESCRIPTION IS AMAZING.
