Something was off, but of course I was too scared at the time to recognize it. It took a moment of anger to really break through this bulldogish desire to hang on. I told you he was an idiot. Or just not ready for you. When will you accept that you can't - CAN'T - and should not be with anyone who fails to see the strength and wholeness of YOU? You are so much better than that. If he was too blind to see what all your friends saw - what I saw - and too caught in whatever anger he drew over himself to get over it - then he did not deserve to hand you a saltshaker. What a waste of your precious energy and time. Well done in the end. Now go paint something. Or write. I need entertainment and competence.
