Law and Order Criminal Intent question

On an off note has anyone else who watches Criminal Intent noticed that the Eames and Nichols episodes are a bit flat? Maybe it's just me but I can't seem to get into the episodes where they are partnered up. I would love to hear some more opinions on this.

I'm not sure really it's something thats hard to put my finger on. I don't know if it's just bias on my part because I would much rather see her with Goren or not. The writing just seems flat to me like the partnership between them REALLY lacks something...

Not that I expect them to be like Goren and Eames I don't just it seems flat to me. I didn't like the finale much at all.

She doesn't have the chemistry with him she has with Bobby. Don't think she want to.
