I love St George. I'm good at ignoring people (and kids), but yeah, every time I go it's like, "jeez, everyone is so blonde". But it's nice and quiet and the scenery is GORGEOUS, and even though everyone is Mormon, they have better morals so there isn't trash in the street and they're pretty good drivers, haha. At one point I almost quit everything and moved there. My grandma has a place up there so I've been maybe... 15+ times? It's almost like a second home, in that I know my way around and such. There's a place there called Snow Canyon where they filmed a John Wayne movie... and random fact, they filmed it at the time where a mushroom cloud from the Test Site had blown over (they always made sure they detonated bombs when the wind was not toward Vegas), and John Wayne died from cancer likely from that filming. So whenever I go I'm a little "eeeee cancer" even though there isn't a higher risk nowadays. Either way, Snow Canyon is amazing, so pretty, and there are petrified dunes there you can climb almost like going up stairs ( ... )

i know (or rather have heard) that St George is great for retirees and the scenery is indeed awesome, but.... is there anything to do there? obviously you know something i don't, having been there 15+ times and having even considered moving there.

i totally didn't know about Snow Canyon or cancer.... that's interesting, indeed. :) thanks for sharing. maybe i'll go back to Utah someday....

Nah, there isn't really anything to do there that isn't nature related. There are some small bookstores and stuff, but honestly I kinda feel like a couple good bookstores is all I need in a town to be happy.
