Thank you so much for posting all of that- I read the whole thing. I love everything to do with food so I'm definitely always interested in hearing other people's adventures in eating. You guys certainly had a diverse menu. I've always wanted to try green papaya- it's supposed to be really tasty and refreshing.
Did the pig organ soup have visible organs floating around in it or was it all condensed? (One of my favourite Vietnamese dishes is made out of pureed prawn heads/guts so I'm no stranger to eating slightly gross things!).

yeah, the organ soup had organs floating around in it. twaz very interesting but yum. :) what's the Vietnamese dish you're referring to?

You know, I can't for the life of me remember what it's called. I've only ever had it from a place called "Happy Bowl" at Sunnybank- and I ate it for ages before I found out the sauce was made from pureed prawn heads! It certainly doesn't deter me from ordering it everytime I go there though.
