Craaap I just lost what I typed due to some error. I'll start over and I apologize if it did happen to post the first time:
I checked out your youtube channel after looking at the Fae blog (so cute!). I am really interested in switching my cats to raw food but don't feel that I have sufficient information. I've switched them to food without soy, corn, etc crap, but I still want to go to raw food. I'm curious as to where you get your meat because I want to avoid meat from animals treated with hormones/antibiotics, the same stuff I avoid for myself. I would love any advice/tips/information! Thanks :)
Maybe I should specify: Obviously I could get the meat from the same organic departments, but I've also considered getting into contact with local butchers and buying scraps/organs I don't eat. Is this something you've done or seen others do?
thanks for checking out my blog/vid. i'm glad if it's been of any help to you. :)
there are lots of sites about feeding pets/cats a raw diet. have you Googled? :) sorry, i would link you to some sites but i'm on my phone. there are also different types of raw diets (ground, frankenprey & whole prey). which do you plan to do?
i buy Fae's food from our local grocery story and i try to buy free range/organic meat whenever possible. with organs & non-commonly consumed parts buying free range/organic is a lot harder for me.... but i'm really lucky in that my local grocery store sells liver, kidney, chicken necks, cow heart etc.
but anyway, sourcing your meat etc directly from a butcher would be GREAT! actually, i want to do the same thing but it's hard for me to do without a car... but really, if you can do that that would actually be ideal. :)
if you have any other Qs or would like some specific links feel free to ask. :) gl!

My key points were:
I can't find specifics; ounces, bone, balanced diet.
Worried about the butcher, too much fat, gristle may not be an issue. Organs good though.
Cleaning afterward, bowls/floor obvious; faces and feet?
Dry food compared to non organic meat? I think raw still wins.
And thanks again :)
