the tiger just left with her new owner a bit ago... i miss her already. the apartment is so empty now. :[ but she went to a good home... to an owner with lots of experience owning stray cats, who wouldn`t ever abandon her for anything. i`m sure she`ll love it there

She's VERY cute, you were a good temporary care-taker. Maybe you could volunteer at an animal shelter (if it exists) or work on living someplace where cats are allowed. I hope you get to visit the little tiger too.

i dont have a choice in where i live without dishing out a ton of money... i would so voluteer at an animal shelter, though. they`d prob not want a foreigner, though. D;

The way cats are treated sure is different here in Japan. It's a shame.
I come from a very small village and am surrounded by farmers. When I live my house back home in Germany and walk around I meet so many cats and they're all healthy and cute and live basically in paradise. Enough space to run around, almost no cars, a lot of other cats to fight with over their territory etc. XD
My cat was a little bit confused when we first moved there and his territory was always really small, but I'm sure he loved it there as well :)
I wouldn't want to have a cat in a big city or close to a main road anyway.

if you're going to stick around in Japan longer, can you find a better place to live? or maybe start working in a different city or province, where it's easier to find a pet-friendly apartment? moving so you can keep a cat might seem a bit silly to other people, but hey-- if it makes you happy, then push for it!
