Not cool. I wash my hair every other day. I've heard it's actually bad to wash your hair more than three times a week. Like, we should actually shampoo once a month.

An interesting NPR article on the subject.

Save the sebum! Fck you, Japan.

お久しぶりだね。私はいつも通りだが、あなたはどうですか。大学は?

yeah... i`ve stopped bothering with accurate explanations about my hair, i just say that it`s naturally very "curly" and leave it at that. now that i have dreads, however, i get even more questions than before...

"kinda makes me mad that such a large group of ppl can be so ignorant,"

Wait, are you talking about Japan or the US? Kind-of sounds like the US, too.

at first i was going to say Japan specifically, but i realized that Japan isnt alone in its ignorance of hair. :p

as for the US, however, i would say that it would be pretty hard to be in the US and be as ignorant as Japan seems to be on the matter of hair differences.

I know many hair types are different. I have a friend trying to reduce how often she washes her hair because washing it every day is supposed to be bad for it. Honestly, though.... if I skip a day of washing my hair it just feels so greasy to me. I really can't stand it, and if for some reason I went without for two days, I probably would feel disgusting. But I'm aware that it's just my hair type and preference.
