oh man, whenever i see those little fishes in kyuushoku my stomach turns and i automatically make a "yucky" face.. i'm not a big fan, but since you like them it's probably just me!=)

happy tanabata!

have you tried them? D: i especially didnt care for the texture at first, but after sampling them several times during kyushoku i got over the texture and they tasted good... as long as you dont think about what it is you`re exactly that you`re eating. :`x

does it usually come served on top of rice at your school(s) too?

it usually comes mixed in with spinach or something... i usually eat them since it's too much of a pain to separate them out/somehow throw them away without people wondering why i left food on my plate. i don't really like the taste but it may be my mind convinced they taste bad since they look so gross, haha

ah. D: they usually come on top of rice on mixed in tsukemono (pickled veggie dishes) at my school...:x i may be biased towards the taste, though, since i`m a seafood lover.

what mainly disturbs me about the fish is that they`re still babies, most likely farm-raised in massive quantities for the sole purpose of being killed in massive quantities, and that they`re eaten whole. grrr/*shiver* :[

*lol* I know exactly what you mean! XD
Whenever I go out (and if it's just shopping for food), I usually end up buying too much XD

Put the little fishies in with some noodles. OMG-problem solved. :-)

When I was in Okinawa (back in '90) the corner shops sold dried noodles with fishes in them. Just boil and serve.

in noodles...? wtf? this is news to me lol. here they`re served in/on top of rice or tsukemono (pickled veggies). i`ve never had them any other way.

...i wonder if they`d taste good in ramen. x_x`
