....i failed at keeping an offline account of yesterday. so now i'm sure i'm going to leave some things out. @-@; so much info and crap has been stuffed into my head over the past two days
( Read more... )
the only thing i tried was something called a "Kiwi Sour" that barely had any alcohol in it.
Ach, they've already begun corrupting you! Oh the humanity. D:
From what I hear, the further you are from major cities like Yokohama and Tokyo, the more you'll need to rely on spoken Japanese to get by. I don't know much about Kochi, but maps seem to show it sitting in the middle of nowhere. :x
Anyway, I look forward to more of your adventures. Hang in there, and have lots of fun!
when he asked me if i wanted beer and i said i dont drink, he was like "oh, you poor thing i feel sorry for you. i love to drink! people in kochi drink a lot!" it was here that i realized yet again how screwed i'll soon be. :'x
Hee hee, this made me giggle slightly. ^^; :p
I too look forward to reading more. :) Glad to hear you got there safely and that you're getting sorted out!
I'm glad you're going to Koichi, where you're going to have to learn how to speak Japanese. Seriously--your Japanese is going to improve so much!
Hopefully, you won't have to work straight off the bat, but if you do, no worries. Work on your jikoshoukai to the point of perfection, and they'll be so impressed, they'll pretty much leave you alone to ponder how this amazing foreigner knows "so much" Japanese! :)
I look forward to reading more about your travels!!! Hopefully you'll have a great time. Also, about drinking: I didn't drink before I came to Japan. As of now, I have at least 1 beer a week.
Not saying you're going to be like that, but beer culture in Japan (and in smaller places) is really important!!
