ragged

Alas, my attempt to get more rest by bagging rehearsal last night failed completely because I was too upset to eat enough dinner. I did get some desperately needed alone time, which would definitely have been ruined by going down in my PJs and robe before the crowd cleared. My mom always fixed liver for my dad or me when we were run down. Worked like a charm. I've also been making something I call "Lila special" lately. It's a soup with at least two kinds of beans -- oh, wait, your body doesn't like beans -- tofu? And onions and carrots and canned corn kernels and dark leafy greens, plus the boned meat off a rotisserie chicken. We bring vats of it to daycare because the wee one eats so much, the standard tot fare doesn't seem to be enough.

I can eat beans, and I do like them, but I have to treat them like carbs and not protein. That soup does sound good. My soups lately have been awfully full of barley, noodles or rice. Beans could be a nice change.

I love that your wee one eats dark, leafy greens in soup.
