Do you know about this community? light_not_white

chreebomb maintains it. I am in it, too. Last year was my big year of identity crisis, trying to make sense of a) the ethnicity-specific anti-semitism and cognitive dissonance I experience around being Jewish, and b) doing a lot of genealogical research to find out why my mother is just a little too brown to be white, which nobody in my family talks about. (There just isn't much documentation about my roots, period.) I can't remember if you have met my mother or not. At any rate, the community has been a great support for me personally and also a great tool in forming alliances with others living ethnically/racially ambiguous lives.
