She laughs because it's *spring*. And because gardening in delightful and makes you feel all accomplished and god-like. "I planted the spring that became this flower." There's not much better.

That was a lovely observation ... reminds me of Sera Ophelia from "Remenent Population" ... although that little old lady was bit more peppery and preferred nakedness ... LOL
