I really look forward to seeing this. Bardin is one of the best. Is international distribution possible, or will it be Russia only?

I can't think of a single Russian animated feature that has been distributed internationally, except for "The Snow Queen" back in the 1950s/1960s in the US (and that was only because its Russian origin was hidden)...

More recently, I don't think any of them have gone outside of film festivals. Cultural contact between the West and Russia goes mostly in one direction.

So no, I don't think it's very likely that it'll be released in the West except at film festivals. On the other hand, Bardin has released his previous films on home video in the West (France especially), so maybe this one will be released on DVD/Bluray eventually, at least.
