Kolobok (2006, Vladlen Barbè)

Kolobok is a traditional Russian fairy-tale that is very similar to "The Gingerbread Man" (it existed earlier, though). "Kolobok" means "dough ball".

This "Kolobok" version is amazing. One can find "Alice in Wonderland", Kafka's, Dostoevski's, Pelevin's influences there. It is about inner immigration, I think.

I am not really in subject, but can recall contemporary interpretation that goes like following: "Kolobok is naughty little round bastard made out of dough that travels in forest and makes fun of every creature he comes across".
