We have fucking mice. Well, pluralization is a little bit of a prophetic guess, but every website I saw (yes, I googled "mice in my apartment". So?) basically was like "If you saw a mouse, there are probably thousands more just waiting in your wall. Just waiting ( Read more... )

Yeah, I actually said to my boyfriend later that I was glad it wasn't rats or cockroaches. It's also that this is our first apartment, and we both had a really stressful day, so chasing a terrified mouse around our new apartment for twenty-five minutes was not in our day-planner under "Goals".

The boyfriend's apartment has bedbugs. I have counted 41 bites on my body.

Yeah.

Can't do much, really :( His roommate got bitten too so she's telling the landlord, who will hopefully get the place sprayed by an exterminator. I bought some pesticide spray and dust online, so hopefully that'll help too.

You do not want to see how swollen my legs are right now. Grosss.

Yeah, we're debating what to do with the landlord. She has a tendency to be... useless. When I called her to ask where we threw out trash, she was like "You want to know *what*. How to throw out trash? (pause, sigh) *Gives us directions* Okay, bye." (without letting me ask for clarification or anything). So I'm photographing everything, just in case I need to get government health people involved...

LOL, I would be setting traps too!

I had a MAJOR carpenter ant problem in my last apartment before i moved into the house. And I kept telling the landlord, but they didn't care. I mean, they were EVERYWHERE. They were coming out of the bathroom wall. I'm SO GLAD I moved out.

you guys just need to introduce some predators into the apartment's ecology, or at the very least, some mice pathogens. Who needs a trap when you can spread mouse plague to the whole community of them!

I told Andy about your comment, and he was like, "Yeah, if only we had a furby around to catch the mouse."
