The situation in my native Norwegian schools frightens me. It did when I was young and attending said schools, too, but now it frightens me to a much greater extent, since I understand the system behind what happens there. Behind the unintended suppression of talent.

This is really interesting- education is sort of a hobby of mine, and I love seeing the problems and shining examples of different systems.

You could be writing about American schools. And this is just one of the reasons why I homeschool. My children are not gifted, but they were being used in other ways. My kids are quiet and respectful and they were always seated next to children who were disruptive in hopes that my kids would act as buffers, that their behavior would induce the other children to behave or at least calm themselves ( ... )

(Særlig godt stemmer det at vi alltid ble satt på gruppe med hjernedøde adhd-skrotnisser fordi de kanskje kunne lære av oss.)
