One thing I don't like about podcasts like Radiolab is the sound editing. Why do they feel the need to edit out all of the pauses between sentences? I can't listen to that. Slow it down.

There's software that does this automatically. I agree with you - they're using it too aggressively. Even the pauses between words are removed; the thing becomes a river of undifferentiable verbiage.
