Uh, yeah, I sort of noticed the beeping went on even after the radio reports about the bombing and stuff. I wonder if maybe the broadcasting equipment was already broken and this didn't really fix it?

Doubt it. Heard the building's completely gone, and if the broadcast signal got cut off, the beeping would've stopped.
