Just so you know, there are a lot of bandomers in the hockey RPF fandom. :D

But yeah, the fall in attractiveness from the likes of Arsenal to the NHL is a steep one.

On a serious note, one of the really cool things about dipping my toe into this sport/fandom is seeing the You Can Play project and reading up on the Burke family and their fight against homophobia in the sport. The utter failure in football to get to grips with racism and homophobia has left me feeling pleasantly shocked at hockey's efforts to stamp out bigotry.

And totally agreed re the Burkes. I can't even imagine something like that happening in the Premier League, let alone La Liga or Serie A. The ultras would probably burn down the stadium.
