A great story. I like the new pairing Jenna with Elijah and that everything is from her perspective. It's interesting to see her side of the story.
And I like how it ends with the other usual people, no real pairings or happy ends except for Bonnie/Jeremy. Maybe Delena?
But since the main focus is Jenna, it's wonderfully done. I love how Elijah cares about Jenna and that he comes back to her in the end. It's also good that he waits, so Jenna has time to find herself, to find out about what immortality really is about. Now she will understand him much better and I'm sure that eventually they will hit it off.

Thanks for the review -I'm glad you liked it :D

And as for other pairings, I tried to not go into too much detail on purpose (as I don't think Jenna would particularly care), but you can pretty much bet that all my fics imply Damon/Elena, Caroline/Tyler, Stefan/Katherine, and Bonnie/Jeremy (with Jenna/Elijah now added to that list :P).

I'm not really shipping Elijah with anyone but he is a great character and you fic is just so realistic that I found myself loving him and Jenna and wanting more.
And I like this idea that an original's blood would be more powerful. I like all this details in the vampire mythology.
Please, tell me you'll write more Elijah/Jenna fics.

Yeah, I wasn't shipping him with anyone either, but then I was like - well, he has been spending a lot of time with Jenna. I figured it'd be interesting, and I ended up totally shipping them through writing this.

As for the blood thing, I was SO excited when that came to my head. And I think it makes a lot of sense - if Originals are more powerful in every other way, why wouldn't their blood follow that trend as well?

And yes, I am definitely going to write more Jenna/Elijah fics. Thanks for reviewing :D

Ooooh.... Honestly I hadn't thought about it, but here it goes:
1)He finds it amusing
2) She can't help it sometimes. He fascinates her.

Sooo lame, I know, but that was off the cuff.

Oh I am a terribe reader! I read this back when it first came out but I guess I didn't review. I am rereading this as part of my "She really didn't die, denial is a wondrous thing" ficathon and I am here to say what a wonderful piece it is. I really enjoyed the second half - the confusion in the car, the way you explained her acceptance and finally the end scene...oh the end scene with its many possibilities. I love that it took place in a library, I love what they said to each other and I love the pictures I get in my head from it. I am sure they are off exploring the world together after the end scene.

Thank you for this and I am sorry it took me so long to get around to reviewing it!
