Which would explain it, but I don't particularly care who tops or bottoms with either pairing, and haven't noticed a general trend in the fic I read in that respect. Though obviously the ones where Clark self-lubes he's more likely to bottom because there's really not a point in bringing up the self-lubing asshole if your not going to use it. (Though I did read one where Spock had a self-lubing dick, but he still bottomed.)
