I went to Liverpool yesterday. When I was thinking about moving to Manchester, my housemate Jim, a north-west boy from Preston, recommended Liverpool instead. He told me that it's proud, rough and ready, and that you can practically feel the trade unions forming around you ( Read more... )

WOW! What a great day, honey! Sounds like awesome fun (and the part about the Pakour is going to make Paul jealous, I can tell).
Liverpool is somewhere I've always wanted to visit, if for no other reason than it's the place Lister is from. The Liverpudlian (spelling?) accent always makes me smile.
You've got so much social courage these days, it's remarkable. I still wish I could be there with you every couple of days.. *smooch*

I was really hoping they'd all sound like Lister, but they... don't. But the accent definitely is endearing nonetheless.

I have social courage in certain situations, and it appears solo day trips to Liverpool is one for me. But I'm not confident in many other situations.

I wish you were here with meeeee too! Love!

...but fucken good on you , all the same! If you learn how to do a proper cat leap, please give me the specifics on how one avoids scraping one's knees. Hope shit is apples (without the painful bowel activity that might suggest, taken literally).

I don't think I did a cat leap, or anything much at all except dweebily try and climb a wall resulting in smearing bird poo all over myself. But I just enjoyed the energy of these kids. I think it is an un-fucking-believably cool hobby to take up. A few of these otherwise sprightly young-uns had injuries though, so I hope you're taking care!

Shit is, on the whole, apples. Thanks for thinking of my bowels.

I think you are rad. While I have no idea what parkour is, it sounds energetic and fun and like something I would undoubtedly injure myself doing. Both my pride and physically. I am sure you looked as graceful as a gazelle though. I do, however, know what the Tate is and wanna hear more about what the Liverpool extension is like. Miss you heaps, will send a proper email now! Love Lisa
