Great chapter! I really, really want to see more of this story. It's got an interesting start, to say the least. And yes, the plan doth appear the be of the junior high-ish level, but sometimes those work. And it's funny to watch the gang try to do something nice.

One minor point-- If he were *purposefully* restricting his eating enough for Hodges to notice, he NEVER would have had beer. Do you KNOW how many calories are in alcohol?!?!!!!!! A ton! Thus, he could only be unconsciously restricting, which would be due to stress, if I picked up where you were headed with that. 'Cause I know you weren't trying imply that Greg was anorexic, but I had to sit and think about it for a second. And I'm crazy, and sorry, I'm rambling. I'll shut up now. Now, just to clarify, I will lie and SWEAR that I don't have an ED. And that I don't know how many calories are in alcohol (depending on the type, 110-350 per shot). <--- Ignore this last paragraph completely.

No, he doesn't have a 'formal' ED. It's just that he has been hurting so much over Nick he wasn't hungry. But since he hasn't been eating well, it doesn't take Hodges too may beers to get Greg willing to talk.
