Not at work. I broked myself. Burning the candle at too many ends.

Mostly I just didn't think I'd manage the whole journey in on a packed tube train without keeling over. That's always embarrassing. I'll do some study at home this morning, and maybe get through some of my washing mountain, then head in this afternoon.

Onwards and upwards.

I wish I lived closer to the office. It's all very well getting on a roll and not leaving until quarter to one, but that does mean not getting home until at least half one, and then theoretically getting up again at half six. This morning's suggestion for putting the world to rights: we keep being told that people are getting bigger, so why don't the travel companies reflect this in the size of their seats?! We need to rethink the width of trains... perhaps three horses' bums instead of two...

Tried a new mode of working today...

Before: I was trying to work on the post investment review in the morning, getting stymied because I needed to ask the Americans questions, faffing until they got in after lunch, then getting my answers and working till 9pm, THEN hitting my books (exhausted) for a couple of hours only, if at all.

On my way into work this morning I got on the Central Line at Tottenham Court Road which is generally an error at rush hour and found myself with my face literally pressed up against the glass of the door.
