All things set aside, Nick knew he had no reason to be nervous. They had two dates under their belts now, but this one felt really different. He knew why, too. This was he place. Aryn smoothed her jeans over her thighs and fixed the hem of her shirt as she stood outside his door, chewing her lip and twirling a strand of hair around her finger. She didn't know what had made her agree to this, other than the fact he was a nice guy and she'd enjoyed dinner and bowling. For now, that seemed as good a reason as any.

Looking up at the knock, Nick found himself smiling as he felt a surge of relief. Quickly shutting everything down, he moved to the front door, opening it to find Aryn standing at the entrance way. His smile broadened as he met her eyes. "Hey. Glad ya made it here. Hope ya didn't have any problems?" Nick asked, opening the door to let her in.

"No, no problems," Aryn replied as she stepped past him and he closed the door behind her.

She glanced around before turning her attention back to him with a smile. "Nice place, Houston."

As she stepped inside, she entered into a short foyer that opened up onto a living room. Designed in very neutral tones, the walls were painted a cappuccino brown with white and chocolate accents. To the right was the media center where the TV was housed, clearly an electronic hub in typical male fashion. Facing the media center was a chocolate-colored couch. On the wall hidden from the entrance was the one thing very much out of place, largely orange in color, and very much made of plastic. The skittering and occasional animal sounds made it clear what it was.

"Thanks. I had a friend come shopping with me, 'cause I got very little sense of fashion," Nick remarked with a chuckle. "I'm happy here, it's comfortable. Not to mention it's *mine*, so that's a real big perk."
