did you watch the first season of the walking dead? I really liked it, and thought it was really good. i've heard the second season is not as good as the first.

Yeah, I liked the first season. I didn't think it was perfect, but I thought it was pretty good. The second season is where a lot of my problems with the show started. Maybe that has to do with Frank Darabont not running the show anymore...I don't know. But the way they're handling Lori and her whole story arc right now...it's pretty fail-tastic.

That, and considering that they're all smack dab in the middle of a zombie apocalypse, the pace of it all is surprisingly slow. Right now all the characters seem to spend a lot of time taking walks and having very serious conversations in their apparently well-stocked, electricity-lit kitchen. The zombie action is pretty good when it happens, but they spend more time talking about how desperate their situation is than behaving like their situation is desperate. It's too bad.

that's sad, because i saw the s2 trailer at the comic con panel, which made me want to watch the first season.

Nice to know I'm not the only one who's gotten a bit carried away with the podfics for charities and podficbigbang and whatnot. (And possibly a few fics for bigbangs that really aren't being written right now.) I always seem to forget about that studying thing I'm doing when I'm signing up for these things.

And colds suck. Get better soon!

I saw that you took over fund_jcollins. I'm glad you did. I really wanted that auction to work - it's such a great cause. Thanks for doing that!

Yeah, I'm always tempted to sign up for anything podfic-related. I'm going to have to start telling myself no. Being responsible sucks. :/

I feel a bit weird about taking over the comm, it's a very country specific charity and I've never even been to the States. But it is a great cause, and I didn't want the auction to just die out. I do hope there'll be some more interest in it.
