More word ficlets

For some time now, I’ve been choosing random words from the dictionary and using them as prompts. Stories are based on movieverse unless otherwise noted; ratings run the gamut. "Moving Day," "Ton of Bricks" and "Uncertainty" were first written for the comm 15_minute_fic. In that comm, a word is given and the writer has 15 minutes to write and polish a ficlet. I loved the flip POV of the barroom scene! Even though you feel it's different, the emotional adverse from Tim's POV to then Don's POV dovetails nicely as if there were one scene. I loved how Don 'rescued' him from a boring date.

Another favorite I must mention is the last one, Don mooning as he climbed into their window. Lucky Tim! Some guys get all the luck! :)

I got the idea for the housebreaking story from something that happened to me. I was locked out of my dorm room, so I decided to go through the window. Trouble is, a cop saw me do it. He came to the dorm and knocked on the door (I was the head resident, too!) and demanded some ID. I almost had to call the dean of students to confirm my identity, but in the end the cop believed my story. Thank goodness!

I'm glad you liked the bar stories. If I'd thought for a second before writing, I would have made sure to use the same scene. At least this way, though, it ends on an upbeat note.

Love all of these as you know, but especially "Ton of Bricks." It just flippin' breaks my heart.

I'm rather fond of that one, too, so I'm glad you like it. One of these days I might go back in and make it a fuller ficlet, so to speak. But then again, maybe I'll leave it as is.

*hugs*
