I haven't seen it yet, so I can't really comment on the ep, but even though I want to be excited by a F/F kiss on Nickelodeon I am really put off by the idea that it's between the "Psycho" girl and some unknown other female (LOL DANIELLA I LOVE YOU AND YOU ARE NOT UNKNOWN TO MY HEART).

I just... hmmm.

:\

I'm in the same boat. I'm torn between 'omg it's a girl kissing another girl on a kids show' and 'why does the girl kissing girl have to also be the crazy person?'

Dan redeemed himself on Victorious with Cat's Uncle and Uncle who live in San Francisco and Robbie's dig at Fox News though.

Wait, WHAT?! Which episode was that line from? How did Nickelodeon allow it?!

God, I'm spazzing right now. I want so badly to watch that episode, and iPsycho. I knew I needed to get caught up on my Schneider shows, but I had NO IDEA what I was missing.

In Robarazzi Cat's subplot is about her getting addicted to ordering from an equivalent to Skymall she picked up on the flight back from visiting her "Uncle and Uncle in San Francisco." Cat orders this fake snow making thing and when Robbie sees it Rex says something about how global warming doesn't mean anything since it's snowing, and then Robbie tells him he's been watching too much Fox News and then Rex says something about how it's "Fair and Balanced" in a rather hilarious tone.

That was the long explanation, short version: Dan's awesome. :D

So my roomate and I have a theory about this kiss -

It seemed very random, awkward and out of place in the episode, but it was the first lesbian kiss on a Nick show. We think the significance of this was sort of Dan "testing the waters" with trying to gauge his auidiance's reaction of a girl/girl kiss. This, to me, is a little bit of foreshadowing of HOPEFULLY Carly/Sam, but def foreshadowing of a lesbian relationship on the show.

Hopefully Dan got the positive feedback that he obviously wanted from this.

I would actually completely believe this. Cat's reference to her gay uncles on Victorious would fit under the same logic. Dan is obviously at least aware of the amount of fan support for gay relationships among his characters.

You start one, I'll be the first to join. Who knows, it could get to Dan eventually. We need to show him how much support he'd have! We can't afford to be quiet, because the fundamentalists sure as hell won't.

The uncle/uncle line on Victorious that others have mentioned gives me hope that Dan didn't mean anything by the girl being a psycho. I really wish Dan had done his fun facts for these episodes though. I'd love to hear his commentary on it.

I agree! The one time Dan doesn't do fun facts, the best things since Drake and Josh's kiss happened.
